791 of facts and figures that vitally affect your employment. Many benefits provided non-union employees differ in significant ways
from those guaranteed by Local 791 contracts with Shaw’s/Star. This web site will detail comparisons in health insurance costs, pension
and retirement benefits, grievance and arbitration and other areas.
I and the staff and members of Local 791 are committed to
bringing all Shaw’s/Star employees under union contract so that all may share the benefits and protections of Local 791 agreements.
Unfortunately, Shaw’s/Star management does not share this vision, and the company has taken steps to prevent you from learning about
the benefits of union representation. This web site is intended to help us communicate with you in these matters.
