To protect our contracts with the benefits and working conditions Local 791 members currently enjoy, the Union must constantly pressure non-union employers and organize employees in the industries that we represent.

Without these organizing efforts, low wage, no benefit employers can enter the market and erode our contracts.

Local 791 is committed to increasing Union membership in the retail industry, as well as others, but cannot do the job alone.

We have found the VOC Program can be a very effective organizing tool, when rank-and-file members share their experience of working under a Union contract, with non-union employees. Often, it can be just as informative and rewarding for the VOC, as it is for the non-union employee. “Worker to Worker”.

UFCW Local 791 members are urged to serve as a VOC to protect their jobs and their contract.

To become involved and receive more information, contact the union office. at 1-800-535-2752.

If you have a relative, friend or neighbor who wants or needs a Union, and the benefits and protections of a Union contract and representation, contact Local 791 Organizing Dept. at the Local’s office at: 1(800)535-2752.
