The Jeff Lawrence Benefit Fund

Jeffrey Lawrence, a grocery clerk for Shaw’s Supermarkets and an 11 year member of UFCW Local 791, was recently diagnosed with the initial stages of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) more commonly known as “Lou Gehrig’s” disease. As you may be aware, this neuromuscular disease has no known cure and progressively robs those afflicted of all muscle control leading to complete physical disability.

Jeff is married to his wife Anne and is father of three sons Zachary 15, Benjamin 12, and Caleb 8 and lives in Fairhaven, MA. Jeff is a loyal union brother and has served for many years as alternate shop steward for Local 791.

Local 791 have joined the family, friends, and colleagues of Jeff Lawrence to help raise funds to send Jeff and his immediate family on a vacation where they can spend some quality time together while Jeff still has some mobility. In addition, funds will be raised to provide Jeff with any and all materials that he will need as his mobility decreases.
