ATTENTION ALL STOUGHTON TEACHER’S PARAPROFESSIONALS

Local 791 has met with the Town of Stoughton’s Bargaining Committee to review modifications to their “last best offer.”

The Town’s Bargaining Committee and the School Committee are not willing to ratify the offer that was presented to the Local 791 Negotiating Committee back in January.

Local 791 has filed unfair labor practice charges that both the Bargaining Committee and the School Committee have bargained in bad faith.  The Labor Commission has held a preliminary hearing to investigate these charges and we are awaiting a hearing date to go forward.

The Union has contacted the mediator and notified her that the parties are at an impasse.  The next step in the process is for the Labor Commission to conduct a “fact finding.” Once that process is completed they will issue their findings to the parties.
