After an intense three-year struggle, Stoughton Paraprofessionals voted overwhelmingly
to ratify a new three year contract on May 14, 2011. The contract covers wages, benefits and working conditions for approximately
100 workers employed in the Town of Stoughton, Massachusetts
The
newly ratified contract puts an end to a very long and difficult round of negotiations between Local 791’s negotiating committee and
the bargaining committee for the
Contract books were mailed out to all
Paraprofessionals last week.
Congratulations to the Stoughton Paraprofessionals on their new contact and are honored to have
them as a part of the Local 791 family.
Special thanks go out to Cindy Brown and Mae-Beth Robbins for all of their hard work
throughout negotiations and keeping the Local informed on issues and concerns for all of the Paraprofessionals. Without their dedicated
service this contract would have been a lot more difficult.
